Kellie Willey

The Golden Valley Quilt Guild is pleased to announce that Kellie Willey will help us ring in the New Year creating small-scale quilts!
Creating small-scale quilts can be FUN and REWARDING!  Enjoy learning how to quickly and accurately make a miniature quilt from a person who is not afraid to go tiny and loves to share that passion.  Kellie Willey has been quilting for 11 years and is passionate about making miniature and small-scale quilts.  She enjoys taking large traditional patterns and miniaturizing them using various

methods. Over the years, Kellie has won many awards for her little quilts at local Guild shows and the California State Fair.

Recently Kellie has begun teaching others the love of small-scale quilting at Guilds and Quilt Shops.  Her classes are fun and relaxed.  She encourages quilters to enjoy the process and get comfortable with scaling down their work.  Kellie's philosophy is "You already know how to cut, piece and sew, now it's easy to make it smaller once you know the steps."  Most students leave the workshop with a finished quilt top!  Kellie is also scheduled to be an instructor at Empty Spools Seminar at Asilomar, California in 2020.  She recently started producing her own line of miniature quilt patterns which will be made available soon.  Please visit her website to see more of her work at www.littlequiltcreations.com and follow her on Facebook at Kellie Willey's Little Quilts. .
