Zephyr Retreats
The Golden Valley Quilt Guild has held an annual retreat at ZEPHYR POINT Presbyterian Conference Center since the summer of 2008. Owned and operated by the Presbyterian Church, the center is situated on the shores of Lake Tahoe, it’s a wonderful place to get away and relax.
Our retreats are without teachers ( although there are plenty of quilters willing to share their knowledge if you have a problem). Everyone brings their own projects to work on. It is amazing how much you can accomplish while here. We have plenty of laughter and a chance to get to know our fellow guild members better and make new friends. Imagine a room full of sewing machines and happy quilters. Doors are locked at night so we can leave all our machines set up. There’s a cafeteria with excellent food and an awesome self service dining room with spectacular views of the lake. The week wouldn't be complete without a visit to a few quilt shops.
